Students have an assignment due Tuesday, May 10 on the Van de Graaff Generator. The assignment consists of questions to answer on the function and safety of Van de Graaff Generators.

Currently we are working on imperial measurements, particularly inches and yards, converting inches to feet, feet to yards, reading a measuring tape and estimating measurements.

Homework for tonight is to complete the terms on the Chapter 9 review sheet. Terms are due for class on Tuesday, May 3rd.

Students will have a test, Wednesday, May 4th.
The test is on Chapter 9 Electrostatics covering the following sections: 9.1, 9.2, 9.3, 9.5, 9.6, 9.7, 9.8, 9.10 and 9.11. A review will be done in class to help students prepare.

The next unit is on measurement. In the first part of the unit, students will learn and apply both the imperial and metric systems of measurement.

We are working on the Unit Getting Paid for Work. We will finish the section on Net Pay this week and then move on to a very short section on Other Forms of Income. Students will have a test on these two sections Thursday, April 21st.

Students will have a test on Friday, April 15th. The test will be on Chapter 3: Models of Atoms and Chapter 4: The Periodic Table, including the following sections: 3.1, 3.2, 3.3, 3.4, 3.6, 3.7, 4.1, and 4.4. A review will be done in class to help students prepare for the test.

Students will have a test on Thursday, April 7th. The test will be on getting paid for work, specifically calculating gross income and overtime. A review will be done in class Wednesday to help prepare for the test.

Polymer Lab Report is past due. Pass in Monday. Chapter 3 was started this past week in class. Currently we are working on section 3.3 Atoms. Chapter 2 Test was returned to students today in class.

Today we starting learning about Unit Price. We worked in class comparing the cost of items and finding out which item was the best buy according to the unit price.

Science 300 Exam

Students in Science 300 will write their final exam on Friday, January 28th.
The exam will cover all the material covered in the Electricity and Reproduction Units. More details will be given as the exam date approaches and a review will be done during class time later in January.
