Homework Science 309

Students are asked to finish the analysis for Lab 1.10 Separating Mixtures. The lab was done on January 28th and the report is due in their next science class.

Reminder for All Science Students

The proposal sheets for the SIS Science Fair are due this Friday, January 30th.
They must be handed in before 3 pm if you want to enter in the SIS Scienec Fair to be held on March 10th.

Grade 8 Science Quiz

Science 206 and 209 will have a quiz on Wednesday, January 28th. The quiz will cover the following sections of the book; 2.11, 2.12, 2.14, 2.15, 2.17, 2.18, 2.19, 2.20, 2.21, and 2.23.

A review was completed in class. All students have a corrected recview sheet to help them prepare for the quiz.

Homework Science 105

Students are asked to complete the review sheet given in class today. This is the review for their upcoming quiz on Wednesday, January 21st. The review sheet is to be completed for class on Monday, January 19th.

Homework Science 209

Students are asked to complete the booklet on the Confederaqtion Bridge for homework. Students were given class time to complete the booklet and most have. Only those who did not finish in class willl be finishing over the weekend. The booklets are due on Monday, January 19th.

Homework Science 206

Questions on page 127 in their science book, numbers 1, 2 and 4. Questions are due for Friday, January 16th.

Grade 9 Quiz

Science 105 will have a quiz on Wednesday, January 21.
Science 106 will have a quiz on Thursday, January 22.

Both grade 9's will be quized on chapter 9 in their book on Electrostatics. A review wil be done to help the students prepare for the quiz.

Grade 7 Science Quiz

Science 313 and 309 will have a quiz on Friday, January 23 on the following sections of the book: 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 1.4, 1.5, 1.7, 1.8 and 1.9 A review will be done to help the students prepare for the quiz.

Science 309 Homework

Students are asked to complete the analysis for Lab 1.7 Rate of Dissolving for Friday, January 16th.

Science 313 Homework

Students are to complete the assignment on the Particle Theory. Students were given class time to complete this work. Anyone not finishing all the questions will need to finish at home. The worksheet is due on Thursday, January 15th.

Science 309 Homework

Students are asked to complete the analysis for the Polymer Lab done in the science lab Tuesday and the analysis for Lab 1.4 on solvents completed on Monday in the lab. Both lab reports are due on Wednesday, January 14th.

Homework Science 105

Questions on page 273 numbers 1, 2, 3, 5 and 6. These questions are to be completed for their next science class.

Homework Science 313

Students in Homeroom 313 are to finish the analysis of the Polymer Lab done in the lab today. The lab is due at the next science class.

Science 206 and 209

Homework due for Friday, January 9th is to complete the lab on Buoyancy. Most students need to finish the last 2 questions not completed in class.

Science 105

Homework due for Monday, January 12th is to complete the analysis for the lab on static electricity.

Grade 8 Science Term Project

Science 206 and 209 term project will be due on Thursday, February 26th.
Students can choose to do either a design challenge on Fluids or a Science Fair Project. For the Design Challenge they can do any one of the three design challenges from pages 134-135 in their science book. They must include a report following the scientific method with their project. Students can work alone or with one other student. Each project will be presented to their science class during the week of March 2nd. A science Fair Project can be an alternate choice. Students must follow the guidelines for doing a science fair project. The SIS Science Fair will be held on Tuesday March 10th in the SIS Gym.

Grade 7 Science Term Project

Grade 7 Science 313 and 309 have a term project due on February 26th.
They can choose between doing one of the design challenges on page 62-63 in their science book or a science fair project. The design challenge choices are 1) A Water Purification System, 2) A Recycling System for Plastic, Glass, Metal and Paper or 3) A Mechanical Soil and Gravel Separator. Please follow the design criteria for each project. Grade 9 Science Term Project
