Grade 8 Science Term Project

Science 206 and 209 will be starting to work on their term project on Monday, November 3rd. Four classes have been allocated to do the research and prepare their class presentation. They can work alone or with one other classmate to research a disease. Their mark will reflect computer lab work, creativity, team work and the presentation to the class. A list of diseases is available for them to sign up for. Any work not completed in class will be the responsibilty of the student to finish at home, at school during lunch, or after school.

Grade 9 Science Quiz

Science 105 will have a quiz on Friday, November 7 th and Science 106 on Wednesday, November 12 th.
The quiz will cover chapter 2 of the book (sections 2.1, 2.2, 2.3, 2.7, 2.8, 2.9, and 2.11 ). Students must also know the 30 symbols for elements given in class. A review will be completed in class and students will have a corrected review sheet plus their notes to help them prepare for the quiz.

Grade 7 Science Quiz

Science 313 and 309 will have a quiz on Tuesday, November 4th.
The quiz will cover the following sections of the book; 4.6 , 4.7, 4.8, 4.9, and 4.10. A review will be done in class and each student will have a corrected review sheet to help them prepare for the quiz.

Grade 7 Science Term Project

Students will be doing a term project on Erosion. Please see page 243 in their science book titled "Erosion Proof Field". They can work alone or with one other person. A Design Challenge report is to be passed in with the project. Students have details concerning this project. The due date for the project is November 12th.

Grade 8 Science

Science 206 and 209 will have a quiz on Friday, October 31st. The quiz will cover the following sections of the book: 1.12, 1.13, 1.14, 1.15, 1.16 and 1.25. A review will be completed in class to help the students prepare for the quiz.

Science 309 and 313 will have a quiz on Friday, October 10th.
The quiz will cover the following sections of the book: 4.1, 4.2, 4.4 and 4.5 plus notes, homework and science labs. A review will be done in class and each student will have a corrected review sheet to help them prepare for the quiz.
