Grade 7 Science Field Trip

Science 313 and 309 will be participating in a field trip to the PEI National Park this Friday, May 29th. Students are reminded to dress for the weather conditions, bring a bag lunch, water bottle, sun screen and insect repellent. Students will leave the school by 9am and travel by school bus to Stanhope. They will return to SIS for 2:30pm.

Science 105 and 106 Quiz

Science 106 will have a quiz on Monday, June 1st and science 105 on Tuesday, June 2nd. The quiz will be on Chapter 6 and 7 of their science book. A review will be done in class.

Science Quiz Science 313 and 309

Science 313 will have a quiz on Tuesday, June 2nd and science 309 on Wednesday, June 3rd. The quiz is on ecosystems. A review will be done in class to help students prepare for the quiz.

Homework Science 106

Complete questions 1, 4, 5, and 6 on page 207 for next class.

Field Trip Science 313 and 309

On May 29th, science 313 and 309 will be on a field trip with Mrs. Caissy. Permission forms have been given to each student. They need to return these forms signed ASAP.

The filed trip is to the PEI National Park for tours on a Pond Ecosystem and Beach Ecosystem. Students will have the opportunity to go dip netting, see beavers and other wildlife who live in the habitat of the National Park. They will also go on a beach walk to learn about the role of dunes, sand and oceans play in our beach ecosytems. In between each of these learning experiences we will have a picnic lunch in the kitchen shelters. Students will return to SIS by 2:30pm.

Homework Science 309

Students started their review sheet today for the test coming up on Tuesday. They are to complete the section of the review sheet on the terms for class on Monday. In class Monday the remaider of the review will be done and correted.

Adopt A River Project

Grade 8 students in homeroom 206 and 209 are working on a river project. They have 3 field trips scheduled to obtain samples and data concerning their river. Permission forms have been given to the students and they are due back ASAP. The first scheduled field trip for science 209 is Tuesday, May 12th and for science 206 Thursday, May 14th.

Grade 7 Science Quiz

Science 313 and 309 will have a quiz on Tuesday, May 12th. It will cover the following sections of their science book: 2.8, 2.9, 2.10, 2.11, 2.12, 2.14, 2.15, and 2.22. A review will be done in class to help the students prepare for the quiz.

Grade 9 Science Quiz

Science 105 and 106 will have a quiz on Thursday, May 7th. The quiz will be on chapter 5 of their science book. A review was completed in class.

Homework Science 309

Students are to finish the questions on Methods of Energy Transfer for class on Tuesday. These questions were started in class and students are asked to complete any they did not get done in class at home.
